Jimmy Mann, 72, died Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at Sanctuary Hospice House. He was born in West Point on July 20, 1945, to John and Ruth Cole Mann. He was a truck driver for many years driving for Parker Truck Line and Super Sagless. He loved his church family of Oak Ridge Christian Church, where he’d been a lifelong member. An avid conversationalist, he loved talking and visiting with all the customers at the restaurant.
Services will be 11 AM Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Oak Ridge Christian Church with Bro. Archie Taflinger and Bro. Dale Carr officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 – 8 Friday and 10 – 11 Saturday at the church. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Jackson Mann; his daughter Tammy Bramlett (Brett); his step-daughters, Tracy Brown (Bobby), Tammy Jackson, and Tracy Deckard (Scott); his son, Brad Mann (Tana); his step-son, Donnie Taylor (Tonya); 8 sisters, Joanne Sheffield (Charles), Dorothy Thomas, Laura Mae Harris (Aubrey), Caroline Wyley, Sarah Katherine Timms, Linda Broom, Shirley Williams and Judy Newell (Carl); 4 grandchildren, Courtney Rooker (Allen), Jordan Mann (Taylor), Colton Miller and Taylor Miller; 11 step-grandchildren and 6 step great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife of 49 years, Dina Petree Mann; his son, Kevin Wayne Mann; a sister, Emily Hurley; two brothers, Rex Mann and Billy Mann.
Pallbearers will be Guy Autrey, Terry Autrey, Wade Nanney, Gary Allen Enis, Jerry Scruggs, Donnie Taylor, Bobby Brown and Scott Deckard.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at Oak Ridge Christian Church or Sanctuary Hospice House.
