Jimmy Horace Horn, 82, went to be with his Lord on November 21, 2023. He was born on July 28, 1941 to Oco and Mae Horn. He was retired from Reynolds Metals after thirty-one years. Jimmy was a member of Golden Central Baptist Church for more than seventy years and served as deacon for many years.
Services will be Saturday, November 25, 2 p.m. at Golden Central Baptist Church with Bro. David Holcomb and Bro. Jarod Grimes officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Golden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife of sixty-three years, Janice Mayhall Horn; sons, Jeffrey Horn (Mitzi) and Jonathan Horn; daughter, Jennifer Horn; grandchildren, Jessica Rester (Samuel), Shana Vaughn (Samuel) and Dillon Horn; great-grandchildren, Sarah Rester, Gideon Rester and Rebekah Vaughn and a brother, Dr. Jerry Horn (Betty).
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bobby Horn and Morris Horn.
Pallbearers will be Dillon Horn, Joel Horn, Phillip Horn, Tony Graham, Shearl Pardue and Junior Hutcheson. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Golden Central Baptist Church, John Williams, Wallace Williams and Darren Caldwell.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 25, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Golden Central Baptist Church.
