Funeral service for Jimmy Douglas Long, 70, of Moulton, will be Monday, April 8, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Steve Storall and Randolph Lawson officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Long died on April 6, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born on February 9, 1943, in Lawrence County to the late Crabel and Bera Long. He worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. from 1964 until 2004. Jim loved farming and his tractor.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy S. Long; son, John Douglas Long; daughter, Julianna Lawson; brother, Gene Long; sister, Patsy Montgomery; grandchildren, Lauren Cunningham, Kylyn Long, Knox Long, Isaiah Lawson, Dayne Brewer, and Rand Long; great-grandchildren, Aniah Cunningham, Brandon Brooks, and Jaron Cunningham.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
