Jimmy Don Tunstill age 72 of Athens, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Tunstill was born June 17, 1945 in Limestone County, AL to Theo Tunstill and Imo Gene Stovall Tunstill.
Services will be Friday, July 7, 2017 1:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with John Gibson and Ray Hill officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Preceded in death by his parents, Theo and Imo Gene Tunstill; one sister, Judy Bailey.
Survived by his wife, Peggy Tunstill of Athens; two sons, Don Tunstill and wife, Mitzy of Decatur and Daren Tunstill and wife, Benita of Athens; one granddaughter, Avery Lorick and husband, Ethan of Pontotoc, MS; one brother, Al Tunstill of Athens; one sister Nancy Norman of Athens; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Reed Tunstill, Darrell Norman, Ryan Tunstill, Daniel Bates, Danny Bates, George Sandlin, Tim Pepper and Brian Willis. Honorary pallbearers will be James Bailey and Jimbo Colwell.
