Jimmy Dean Adams was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 6, 1935 the son of the late Newt and Cora Petty Adams.
On July 2, 1955 he was united in marriage to Betty Holloway, who preceded him in death on June 16, 1979. On February 27, 1981 he was united in marriage to Frances Louise McCarley, who survives.
Mr. Adams retired after 25 years from TVA, he also had worked for Brown Shoe Company and Tommy Powell Electrical and Plumbing. He was a member of Local Union 558 and was a member of Saltillo Baptist Church. Mr. Adams loved traveling all over the Tennessee Valley while he was employed for TVA. He loved to get in his boat and go fishing. He also loved doing yard work and spending time with his children.
Mr. Adams departed this life on May 19, 2016 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 13 days.
In addition to his wife, Frances Louise of 35 years, he is survived by his two sons, James Allen Adams and Barry Wayne Adams, both of Sardis, Tennessee; two step daughters, Danita Woodall Nichols of Savannah, Tennessee and Tina Woodall Brackin of Town Creek, Alabama; seven grandchildren, Justin Watkins, Matt Adams, Trevor Watkins, Teila Brackin Tate, Crystal Adams, Tonya Brackin; and Daniel J. Nichols and five great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his first wife, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Elouise Powell and Reba Colbert.
