Jimmy Dale Poston, 85, Sheffield, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024. Visitation will be Thursday, June 27, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Friday, June 28, in the funeral home chapel beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Terry Horn officiating. Interment will be in Old Bethel Cemetery, Leighton.
Jimmy was a member of New Life Church of the Nazarene, Sheffield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Viola Poston; sisters, Jewel Hallman, Cathaleen Pope, and Betty Jean Porter; and granddaughter, Desiree Craft.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Dot Fleming Poston; daughters, Connie Wester (Lee), Sandra Craft (David), and Deborah Green (Otis); brothers, Junior Poston and Raymond Poston; ten grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one great-great-grandson on the way; and special niece Joann Wood.
Pallbearers will be Lee Wester, Otis Green, Nick Craft, Anthony Poston, Faybien Delano, and Erick Escoto.
