Jimmy Dale McKeehan, 80, of Fort Payne, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024. He was born October 12, 1943 to the late Leroy McKeehan and Eloise Carruth McKeehan. He was retired from Sand Mountain Electric Co-op and a faithful member of Minvale Baptist Church for over 45 years.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 18th at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Haney and Rev. John Keefe officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service. The family is accepting flowers or memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Ethelyn McKeehan; daughters Tiffanie Bassett (Keith) and Tara Bain (Jon); grandchildren Chase Poff (Emily), Katherine Barksdale (Josh), Elizabeth Anderson (Will), and Jimmy Bassett; great-grandchildren Oaklyn and Hollis Barksdale and Willa and Grady Anderson; brothers Steve McKeehan (Beth) and Clay Fugatt (Teresa); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Earle McKeehan and Bobby McKeehan, and his sister Margaret Dawson.
