Jimmy D. Stanphill, 73, of Golden, Mississippi, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, in Franklin County, Alabama. He was current maintenance consultant with Wise Alloys and was retired maintenance supervisor of Reynolds Metals. He served in the Mississippi National Guard for 13 years. He was a member of Golden Central Baptist Church and a member of Belmont Masonic Lodge.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, Mississippi, with Brother Ralph Culp and Mike Deaton officiating. Burial will be in Belmont Memory Gardens, Belmont, Mississippi, Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Mississippi, will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Iown Stanphill, Golden, Mississippi; son, Chris Stanphill (Amy), Golden, Mississippi; brother, Charles Stanphill (Nancy), Tulsa, Oklahoma; niece, Kathy Stanphill, Chicago, Illinois; special friend and neighbor, Vera Voyles, Golden, Mississippi; brother-in-law, Wayne Byram (Lucille) Milledgeville, Georgia; special friend, Carla Moses Childers; special grandchildren, Hannah and Dane Eubanks and Bobbie Jean Voyles; and special great-grandchild, McKynli Childers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Odis Stanphill and Vera Dickinson Stanphill.
Pallbearers will be Scott Eubanks, Dane Eubanks, Jason Byram, Doug Epps, Freddie Morris, Mike Byram, and Keith Byram.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Mississippi, and until service time on Saturday.
