Jimmy D. Martin age 84 of Fayette, AL passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023 in the Fayette Medical Center.
Born January 17, 1939 in Aliceville, AL he is the Son of the late William Newton and Sarah Bentrice Flippo Martin and the Husband of Margene Harrod Martin. He had lived in the Covin Community the past 9 years and was Pastor of the Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Crossville. He had pastored and built several churches in several states.
He is survived by his Wife, Margene Harrod Martin of Fayette, AL, a Daughter, Cynthia Rebecca Mitchell (J.M.) of Pensacola, FL, 2 Sons, Timothy David Martin (Carla) of Kokomo, IN, and Jason D. Martin (Tammy Renee) of Fayette, AL, 5 Grandchildren, Scotty Martin (Mahala), Amber Starr Jordan (Todd), Kimberly Elizabeth Burton (Jason) Skyla Burns, and Alexandrea Rilee Smith (Nathan), and 9 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a Brother, Charles Wayne Martin.
Services held Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 2:00 PM from the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens. Bro. Dewayne Cantrell officiating.
