Jimmy Clay Short Jimmy Clay Short, 83, of Walnut, Mississippi, died in his home on Sunday, September 25, 2022. Mr. Short was of the Baptist faith and attended many churches in his area. He enjoyed working outside in his garden and watching Nascar. He was a man of many talents, and being a perfectionist made him outstanding at everything he did. Mr. Short is survived by his loving wife, Maudie Louanna Short; his nieces, Melissa Kinsey (Bill) and Bonita Claunch (Billy); his nephew, Chris Short (Tammi); his many great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt and Ella Coltharp Short; and his siblings, Billy Short, Linda Hartley, Christine Moore, Robert Short, and Jack Short. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation in scheduled for 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Interment will follow in Snowdown Cemetery. Pallbearers include Marvin Wilbanks, Billy Claunch, Lavone Bolton, Lamar Bolton, Chris Fowler, and James Reed. Donations may be made in Mr. Short’s honor to either the building fund at Oakland Baptist Church in Walnut or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
