Jimmy Brumley – Obituary

Jimmy Brumley was born April 2, 1949 in Bethel Springs, TN the son of the late Joseph Gilbert and Julia Louvie Jones Brumley.

Jimmy was employed as the chief mechanic for Price Sawmill in Selmer. He liked to fish and enjoyed working on anything that had a motor. He was a NASCAR fan and picked a different driver to follow each year; his pick for this year’s events was Kyle Bush. He also loved shooting pool and trading anything he could make a dollar on. Jimmy was described by those who knew him best as a huge dog lover; he treated his two dogs, Charlie and JoJo, like children. Jimmy’s favorite pastime was getting together with his family and friends, which he referred to as “loafing.”

Jimmy departed this life on September 11, 2017 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 68 Years, 5 Months, 9 Days. He is survived by two daughters, Michelle Mosier of Bethel Springs, TN and Stephanie White of Newport Richey, FL; a son, Jason Brumley and wife Kelly of Kennesaw, GA; six grandchildren: Brittany Mason Sleyzak and husband Tim, Kassidy Nicole Deneen and husband Joe, Logan Dale Mosier, Camryn White, Jaiden White, Bailey Brumley; a great-grandchild, Abigail Sleyzak; a sister, Janie Tull of Bethel Springs, TN; his former spouse and the mother of his children, Linda Brumley of Port Richey, FL; 3 nieces and a nephew from Minnesota, 4 nephews who affectionately referred to Jimmy as Uncle Bo; and many extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Brumley was preceded in death by a brother, James Brumley, on January 7, 2017.
