Funeral service for Jimmie Ruth Powell Hill, 91, will be Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hill died on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born April 12, 1931, in Morgan County to Edd Powell and Viola Foote Powell.
Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Carmen DeButy and two sisters, Dorothy Coleman and Jerald Dean Hill. She served our Country In El Paso as a nurse in the Women’s Army Core during the Korean War. Mrs. Hill was an accountant broker with Curtis Powell & Hill Real Estate during her career.
Survivors include:
Grandson – Charlie DeButy (Lucy)
Sister – Maxine Curtis (Amon)
Great Grandchildren – William Franklin DeButy, Jenny Ruth DeButy and Mariam Grace Debuty
Pallbearers will be Friends and Family.
