Jimmie Bone Jimmie Ray Bone, 78, retired electrician for UCAR Carbon Company and Horn Electric, died Friday October 21, 2022 in his home.

 

Graveside services will be conducted at Friendship Cemetery with a eulogy by Melanie Stokes. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements and condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

 

Born March 27, 1944, in Davidson County TN, to the late Jimmie Joe and Virginia Jewell Adkison Bone. The family moved to Martin Hollow when he was five years old. This is when he developed his love for the great outdoors. He was a 1962 graduate of Culleoka High School, and member of the Tennessee National Guard for six years. He loved deer hunting, crappie fishing, Sun Drop, NASCAR, UT football, Duke Basketball, and Willie Nelson. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and Pop. Ray married Nelda Stokes Troope on December 17, 1975.

 

He is survived by his wife, his daughter (his B.B.) Britney Denise (Brian) Vance, his son Kevin Wayne (Kellye) Troope. His granddaughters, Alexis (Lexi) Denise Vance and Liliana (Lily) Grace Vance. His sister Judy (Don) Dial. His nieces, Karen (Darren) Wright, Sherri (Tommy) Bagsby, nephews Christopher (Mae) Dawson. His great-nieces, Kristen Heithcock, Samantha Bagsby, Virginia (Micah) Womack. His great-nephews, T.J. Bagsby and Yuma Dawson. Several great great nephews and nieces. He is also survived by his cousin, Linda Bone Bradford.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Natalie Dawson.

 

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Toby Horn, Randy Horn, Jimmy Derryberry, Keith Stokes, Dwayne Martin and Brian Vance.
