Notice for Jimmie Lynn  Hardin Jimmie Lynn Hardin, 87, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Countrywood Manor in Mantachie. She was born May 21, 1937, in Itawamba County to James Thomas and Charlice Comer Nanney. She was a member of Tombigbee Baptist Church. She worked a number of jobs throughout her career, but her primary focus was caring for her family. Lynn enjoyed being outside in her garden and working with arts and crafts. Her selfless devotion to her loved ones will forever be remembered.

 

Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 9, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Terry Paul Graham and Bro. Joseph Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Masonic Cemetery in Fulton.

 

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Joe Paul Hardin; one son, Terry Joe Hardin of Mantachie; and two daughters, Angie Kirksey (Sid) and Mandy Kirksey (Grant), all of Mantachie; one brother, Mike Nanney (Sandra) of Fulton; six grandchildren, Summer Nichols (Brandt), T.J. Hardin (Jamie), Les Hardin (Lilly), Sam Kirksey (Makenzie), Ben Kirksey (Abby), and Hannah Boren (Peyton); six great-grandchildren, Lila Lynn Nichols, Grayson Hardin Nichols, Teylie Grace Boren, Silas Grant Kirksey, Lera Kate Kirksey, and Mack Thomas Kirksey; and two great-grandchildren expected this year, Scarlett Kirksey and Stetson Boren.

 

She was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Raymond Hardin; one daughter, Sherry Lynn Hardin Carroll; a granddaughter, Natalie Nicole Carroll; a half-brother, Lewis “Ned” Nanney; a half-sister, Bertha M. Graham; and her parents, Jim and Charlice Nanney.

 

Pallbearers will be Sam Kirksey, Ben Kirksey, T.J. Hardin, Les Hardin, Jamie McDonald, and Joey Hargett.

 

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
