Jimmie “Jackie” Martin, 84, of Cullman passed away, on Aug. 17, 2016, at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 20, 1931.
Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Lavon Martin; parents, James Murphree and Katie Mabry Murphree; daughter, Sherron Donna Lewis; son-in-law, Billy Lynn; granddaughter, Amy Leigh Martin and a great- grandson, Trevor Lavon Martin; brothers, Brenice Murphree and Bill Murphree; and sisters, Theresa Laney and Margaret Bolan.
Surviving are sons, Joe (Leslie) Martin, Tom (Becky) Martin and Tim (Sandra) Martin; daughters, Charity (Chuck) Freeman, Cristi (Rex) Milligan and Cindy (Terry) Elliott; sisters, Hellice White, Daulene Mattox, Jayne Turner and Claudette Hatchett; brothers, Wendell Murphree and Terry Murphree; 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will be in Cullman City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
