Obituary of Jimmie Juanice Warren Jimmie Graham Warren passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on March 23, 2025, after a battle with Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease.

Jimmie is preceded in death by her husband – Ward D Warren, her sister – Frances Sneed, and her parents – Charlie and Ozella Graham. Jimmie was raised in, started and grew her family in, worked her whole life in, and died peacefully in the Hurricane Community of Pontotoc County. Though raised in the Methodist Church, Jimmie and Ward D became and were longtime members of Hurricane Baptist Church, where their children, Rita and Jeff, came to know Christ and were baptized. Though confined to worshipping from home much of her later years, Jimmie continued to love and be loved by the people and pastors at Hurricane Baptist Church. The family is grateful for the hands and feet of Christ at work.

Jimmie was a hardworking wife and mother. After a life of farming and working for others, she and Ward D started J&W Furniture Frames, Inc. in 1983 and worked alongside each other in that successful business, which continues in operation today. She spent the last 23-years of her 63-year marriage taking care of Ward D after he suffered a massive stroke and continuing the work they started at J&W.

She loved Ole Miss basketball, where she and Ward D held season tickets since 1981. Jimmie and her special cousin, Faye Dillard, once had cameo appearances on the Ole Miss basketball hype video. She loved her friends, and she loved her family. Her house, always meticulously maintained, had only one form of clutter – pictures on top of pictures of the people she loved most. She would look at those with the fondest of memories – later, using them to rekindle those memories.

Mother, Grandmother, Jimmie, Aunt Jimmie, and Mrs. Jimmie: she leaves behind her daughter – Rita Hill (Howard), son – Jeff Warren (Ruthie), grandsons – Lee Hill (Jessica) and Benjamin Hill (Brittany), great grandchildren – Parker Hill, Ellie Hill, Ramsey Hill, Cooper Hill, and Cora Hill, brothers – Charlie R. “Dock” Graham (Reba) and Garry Graham (Linda), sister in law – Carolyn Carnes, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25 at Hurricane Baptist Church from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. A celebration of Jimmie‘s life will be held at the church on Wednesday, March 26 at 11:00AM with Rev. Philip Brock and Rev. Kevin Merritt officiating and Lee Hill and Benjamin Hill will deliver the eulogy. Internment to follow at Sand Springs Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is honored to assist the Warren family with the arrangements.

Friends and family to serve as pallbearers will be Marty Graham, Phil Sneed, Phil Warren, Phil Robbins, Jerry Robbins, and Howard Carnes. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. John “Johnny” Mitchell and Chris Russell.

The family would like to extend their deepest heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Kevin Koehler, who provided compassionate medical care, and Patricia Bean, Melinda Frison, Reba Lipsey, Ann Callaway, Canary Gardner, and Pam Stahl, each of whom cared for and loved on Jimmie during the difficult days.
