Jimmie Dean Bigham, age 80, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was the son of the late John Thurman Bigham and Pearl Shettles Bigham. He was born on October 27, 1943, in Ecru, MS. Jimmie graduated from Ecru High School in 1962 where he played basketball and baseball. He attended Itawamba Junior College & Ole Miss. Jimmie worked for Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, and Cooper Tire. After his retirement, he worked with his son, Scott, at Scott’s Auto Parts. He attended First United Methodist Church in Okolona and was a Mason.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Duncan Bigham, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage on April 24, 2024; sons, Greg Bigham of Van Vleet and Scott Bigham of Becker; grandsons, Andrew Bigham (Marla) of Mantee, and Steven Bigham (Haley) of Van Vleet; granddaughter, Meghan Bigham of Mooreville; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Karlee and Sammy Cole Bigham of Mantee, Payton and Baylor Bigham of Van Vleet; sister, Violet Jo McKnight of Ecru; brothers, Bobby Bigham of Pontotoc, Ernest Bigham (Carolyn) of Tupelo, and sister- in- law, Sara Mattox of New Albany.

A visitation will be Monday, June 17, 2024 from 1 PM to 3 PM at Holland Funeral Directors-Okolona Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 4 PM Monday, 6/17/24, in the Ingomar Cemetery with Mr. Jamie Darnell officiating and Bro. Alan Hall saying the prayer. Holland Funeral Directors-Okolona Chapel is honored to serve their friends.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Bigham, Steven Bigham, Bryce Bigham, Ronald McKnight, Bill Mattox, and Mac McKnight. Honorary pallbearers will be Sammy Cole Bigham, Ricky McKnight, Bob Anglin, Mike Hall, and Doug Winters.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to be made to Regional Rehab Center, 615 Pegram Drive, Tupelo, Ms. 38801. Condolences may be emailed to hollandfuneraldirectors@comcast.net.
