Jimmie Arlene Dickson passed away at her home in Savannah, TN on December 2, 2021, at 3:30 p.m. at the young age of 90. Arlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Richard “Dick” Dickson of Huntsville, AL, her parents, Otto and Carrie Farris, her brother, Fred Farris, and her sister, Beauton Patterson. Arlene is lovingly remembered and survived by her children, Jackie Robert Frost (Christy), Kenny Dewayne Mink, Lynn Dickson (Donnie), Rebecca Harris (Frank), Rick Dickson (Theresa), Stuart Dickson, and Mary Margaret Lanier; her best friend, Glenda Thornton; grandchildren, Scarlett Frost, Jack Frost, Garrett Frost, Angela Mink, Ashton Mink, Michelle Forgey (Carter), Susan Hudson (Andrew), Andrew Harris (Norel), Michael Harris, Sarah Catherine Lance (Calab), John Dickson (Anna), Jack Dickson, Daniel Dickson, Kathryn Long and Mckenzie Long; and great-grandchildren, Haven Hill, Zoey Frost, Walker, Truman and Jane Wyatt Carter, Bea Hudson, Kalea and Maile Harris, Adelyn and Ellis Lance, and Emory Dickson. Arlene was born in Red Bay, AL on September 19, 1931. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved children more than anything in the world. She moved to Madison, AL in 1958 and soon after to Huntsville where she was a beautician for 60 plus years and owned her own salon. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was loved by many. Visitation will be at from 12 to 1 p.m. Sunday, December 5th at Laughlin Service Funeral Home at 2320 Bob Wallace Ave SW, Huntsville, AL 35805. The funeral service will follow in the chapel with Ricky Lowery officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
