Jimmie A. Jones, 89, of Owatonna, Minnesota, formerly of Iuka, Mississippi, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at her home in Owatonna, MN. Mrs. Jones was born August 30, 1924, in Iuka, MS, the daughter of James and Minnie Maxwell Yarber. She married her husband, William Jones, on August 16, 1941, in Iuka, MS. The couple lived in Waukegan, IL, and provided a nursing home ministry in Zion and Waukegan, IL. Jimmie moved to Owatonna in 1989, five years after her husband passed away. She loved the Lord and enjoyed Christian music. Jimmie loved crafting, sewing, reading, and, above all else, spending time with her family. Visitation is scheduled for 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 2, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 3, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. Interment will follow in Snowdown Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include three daughters, Minnie Hogate (Roger), Violet Hogate (Art), and Jimmie Lynn Saylor (Bobby); two sons, William Jones (Barb) and Daniel Jones (Peggy); twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and sixteen great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; her infant son, Henry Alton; one brother; five sisters; and one great-great-grandchild.
