Jim Wayne Hawkins, age 58, of Vernon, AL, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023 at Fayette Medical Center in Fayette, AL. The family has chosen cremation and there are no memorial services scheduled at this time.
Jim was born on August 8, 1965 in Vernon, AL to the late Jim Carl “Bunk” Hawkins and the late Elizabeth Ann Belk Hawkins. He was a graduate of Lamar County High School. Jim worked at Vernon Milling for years as a diesel mechanic and also previously worked for Phillips Construction as a truck driver and mechanic. He loved being outdoors, especially going hunting, fishing and riding 4-wheelers.
