Jim Norton received the ultimate gift of healing by our Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 4, 2021 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He loved the Lord, his wife, children, and family more than life.
Jim was the kindest and most generous soul with a smile that lit up the room. He was always looking for ways to help those in need and put others before himself. He was an avid supporter of Choose Life and had an extra special place in his heart for children and senior adults.
Jim was a big jokester, especially with his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed spending time with family on the farm, fishing and having family cookouts. On football Saturday’s, you could find him cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide. The best memories are coming home and getting the biggest, most comforting hugs you could ever get with the loving smile that never went away.
He was the rock of his family, a constant source of strength and encouragement. His children and grandson were his pride and joy.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Red Bay, AL with Dr. Tommy Bolan officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31.
