Jim Monroe, 52, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Sunday, February 15, 2015, in Wood River, IL. Mr. Monroe graduated from Iuka High School in 1980, and enjoyed riding motorcycles. He was of the Baptist Faith, and was a member of the Pipe Fitter’s Union. He loved all children and spending time with his nieces and nephews. Jim was also very close with his family. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 19, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 20, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Rich. Interment will follow Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his mother, June Monroe; and his father, Albert Monroe (Pam), all of Iuka; 1 son, Curtis Albert Monroe of Boone, NC; 1 brother, Shane Monroe of Corinth; 1 sister, Deborah Summers of Iuka; 4 step-grandchildren, Talon, Venice, Megan, and Katie; 6 nephews, Layton Monroe, Chris Rast, Cody Hayes, Aydon Hayes, Trenton Hayes, and Kamo Harvey; 3 nieces, Crystal Harvey, Emma Lee Bunns, and Haley Bunns; and his ex-wife, Kim Monroe and family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary Edith Attaway and Curtis Lee James, and his paternal grandparents, Mary Earline and Emmett Monroe
