Jim McQueen – Obituary

Jim McQueen, 84, of Huntsville, passed away Friday. Mr. McQueen was born in Normangee, TX, and received his Bachelors of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Detroit Mercy. His graduate studies continued at USC, UCLA, University of Michigan and UAH. He married in 1951 and lived in Huntsville since 1961. Mr. McQueen worked for NASA-MSFC as an Aeronautical Engineer in charge of various systems integration. He worked on Saturn IV, V, Shuttle, NERVA Project and Space Tug Project. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada McQueen in 2007.

Survivors include daughters, Julie Stephens (Damion) of Huntsville, Patricia Currie (Don) of Temple, TX, Debra Bishop (Jimmy) of Virginia Beach, VA; granddaughter, Lauren Currie of Dallas, TX; grandson, Andrew Currie of Austin, TX; and great-grandson, Tytus, of Dallas, TX.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Maple Hill Cemetery, Inc.
