Jim Bell of Huntsville, AL passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024. He was born on August 7, 1962, to James Frederick and Ruth Alice Bell in Biloxi, Mississippi. Jim was a graduate of Biloxi High School and Mississippi State University. In 1986, he relocated to Huntsville, Alabama to begin his career as an engineer for the Army. It was there that he met Janice, his beloved wife, and they married on July 31, 1993. They adopted two children, Maria and Robert from Bolivia in 2000.

Besides his love for his wife and children, Jim loved Mississippi State and his passion was unparalleled. Whether it was cheering on the Bulldogs at home, from the stands, or wearing maroon-colored clothes, his loyalty to his Alma Mater knew no bounds. He was a proud member of the MSU band and the Huntsville Concert Band. He also loved supporting his children in their sporting activities.

Jim is survived by his wife of 30 years, Janice Bell. He leaves behind his daughter Maria, and son, Robert. Jim is also survived by his brother, Ed (Lisa). He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Fred and Ruth Bell.

Visitation will be at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 12 to 1 p.m. followed by a celebration of life mass at 1 p.m. A luncheon will follow immediately.
