Jewell Creekmore Bacon, age 66, of Tuscumbia, died Friday, August 24, 2012. Her funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia with David Conley officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Jewell was a member of Valdosta Church of Christ. She was a huge Atlanta Braves fan and loved her garden, her flowers and her dog, Nick. She was a loving wife, mother and the best Grandmother in the world.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Stella Creekmore and her brother, Carl Creekmore.
She is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Jimmy Bacon; sons, Stuart Bacon and wife Alison and Tim Bacon and wife Julie; daughter, Debra Collinsworth and husband Steve; grandchildren, Dustin, Lauren, Anna Kate, Addy and the “babies” Emily, Cody, Hannah; sister, Linda Clark and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers are Hollis Clark, Steve Smith, Mike Longcrier, Ben Newbern, Josh Newbern and Greg Kimbrough.
