Jewel Maxine Calton Chapman, age 88, of Summertown, TN passed away Monday, August 17, 2020 at NHC Healthcare of Columbia in Columbia, TN. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a homemaker, and a member of Summertown Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Bonnie Jewel Rackley Calton; her husband, Marvin Chapman; three brothers, Jimmy Calton, Cecil Calton, and Ernest Handley Calton, Jr.; and two sisters, Carol Ann Stephens and Shirley Copeland.
She is survived by two sons, Doug Chapman (Glenda) and Michael Chapman (Doris), both of Summertown, TN; one daughter, Patti Rosson (Tony) of Summertown, TN; seven grandchildren, Summer Whitwell (Ryan), Myleah Luffman (Kris), Kellie Blackwood (Brent), Jason Smith, Ashlie Frakes (Eric), Jonathan Rosson, and Matthew Rosson; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday, August 21, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Friday, August 21, 2020, with Jeff Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
