Jewel Avery Jackson, age 85, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, February 24th, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center Nursing Home in Hamilton, Alabama.
Visitation, 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 27th, 2015, at Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel in Hamilton, Alabama. Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Friday, following visitation, at the funeral home chapel. Burial in Poplar Log Cemetery, Hamilton, Marion County, Alabama.
Jewel Avery Jackson was born May 26th, 1929, in Marion County, Alabama, to the late Dorsey Avery and Lou Crowe Avery.
She is survived by 1 son, Tommy Wayne Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorsey and Lou Crowe Avery; husband, Manuel “Jack” Jackson; 1 son, Douglas Jackson; 1 brother, Vesmer Avery; and 3 sisters, Inez Avery Britnell, Versie Avery Treece, and Lavadis Avery Scogin.
