COLBERT COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports an accident on Pickwick Lake has taken the life of a Sheffield man:
“A marine-related event that occurred at approximately 7 p.m. Sunday, September 8, has claimed the life of a Sheffield man.
Ian H. Dodge, 44, was fatally injured when the personal watercraft (PWC) he was operating struck a log near the shoreline. Dodge was thrown from the PWC onto shore into the nearby wood line, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The incident occurred on Pickwick Lake near Little Bear Creek in Colbert County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Marine Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
