Mr. Jessie Ray “Wild Man” Davis, age 71, passed away on Tuesday in Jackson. He was born July 11, 1952 in Knoxville to the late James M. “Ned” and Nora Belle Ford Davis. He was a 45 year employee of Southern Concrete, and continued to go “hang out” every day after retiring. He loved to piddle and enjoyed chickens, guineas, and peacocks.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mrs. Brenda Jean Pearson Davis; his daughter, Selena Powers (Eric); his two grandchildren, Ethan Powers and Belle Powers; seven brothers and four sisters. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Saturday, November 25, 2023 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Sand Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday 5-9 PM and on Saturday, 10 AM – 2 PM.
