Jessie Mae Allison – Obituary

clbertOur mother Jessie Mae Allison of Sheffield is once again holding hands with our father Roy. She breathed her last breath on earth on August 14, 2014 in her home surrounded by her family. She then opened her eyes to dad, standing there waiting for her. They were both perfect examples of what a loving couple and a father and mother should be.
Visitation will be Saturday August 16, 2014, from 1-2 pm at Colbert Memorial Chapel, with funeral services to begin at 2:00 P.M.in the chapel. Burial to follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Reverend Robert Shirley officiating.
She was preceded in death by our father, Roy Allison; infant daughter, Lori Ann ; her parents, George Oscar and Emma Lorine Willis; and great grandson, Andrew Cansler.
Survivors include her sons; Mike, Eddie (Mary) and Clay (Carla) Allison.

Brother, Buddy (LeDelle) Willis
Her treasures on earth were her grandchildren, Jamie Russell, Chris Allison, Alice Allison, Mae Beth Allison, Jessica Shults, Emma Salas and Audrey Allison.Great-grandchildren, Molly Hayeas, Trey Smith, Mason Hollander, Ben Allison, Chase Crow, Zoie McGuyer, DJ Salas, Eva Salas and Ruby Shults.
She also had several nieces and nephews who were dear to her, with Patty (Carl) Wilson and Paula (Jim) Reding holding a special place in her heart. A former daughter-in-law, Brenda Cansler, remained close to Mother through the years.
Pallbearers will be Chris Allison, Phillip, Lance and Collin Willis, Carl Wilson and Jim Reding. Honorary pallbearer is Danny Allison.
Mrs. Allison was born on January 6, 1933, and grew up in Cherokee, AL. where she graduated from CVHS in 1950. She was a graduate Alverson Draughn Business College.
She and dad were both baptized into Christ at first Baptist Church of Sheffield in the early 1960’s. Mae and Roy were married for 49 years and parted by his death the past 10 years. She 
worked many years for Paper Chemical Supply in Sheffield. She played an important part in the upbringing of three generations who will all continue to be influenced by the love, care and examples on how one should live their life that she provided to each of us.
The family is grateful to Dr. Jack McClendon; nurse Janet Hill; and the staff for their patience and care of Mother throughout the past of our extended family. Amy Inman and Karen Rumph. Gentiva Home Healthcare and Gentiva Hospice have been there for mother and for the family throughout mother’s illness.
