Jessie Hayes Peterson, 87, Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 31, at Harris Chapel Cemetery, Cherokee, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with grandchildren, Bradley Puckett and Ginger Vanhorn officiating.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Birdie Hayes; brother, Nathaniel Hayes; and sister, Susie V. Cornelius.
She is survived by the love of her life, Jasper Peterson; daughters, Joanie Burns and husband, William, and Judy Dorman; brothers, Bo Hayes and wife, Jenny, and Joe Hayes; grandchildren, Wade Barrier and wife, Amy, Bradley Puckett and wife, Betsy, and Ginger Vanhorn and husband, Mark; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Slater, Rubye, Lincoln, and Embree; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be William Burns, Bradley Puckett, Lincoln Puckett, and Mark Vanhorn.
