Jessie Dean Mooney – Obituary

JessieJessie Dean Mooney age 69 passed away October 17, 2013 at his home.

Mr. Mooney was born and reared in Chester County, the son of the late Lester Lee and Elizabeth Audra Dee Flatt Mooney. He attended schools at Jacks Creek and married Loral Mae Pusser in 1964. They made their home in the Cabo Community. He worked for the State Division of Forestry as a crew leader stationed at the Jacks Creek Fire Tower and also at the Forestry Division at Chickasaw and Pinson. He was Pentecostal in belief.

Mr. Mooney liked to go camping, fishing and vacationing in the Smokey Mountains. He was known as “Fire Fighter” on the C B Radio.

He is survived by his wife, Loral Mae Pusser Mooney of Enville; a son, Barry Dean Mooney of Enville; a daughter, June Sells and husband Randy of Henderson; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Junior Lee Mooney.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday October 19, 2013 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with William Duke officiating and burial will follow in Roby Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday.
