Jessie Atkins, Jr. age 80 of Scottsboro passed away on Monday November 13, 2023, at the home of his daughter, with his family by his side. Jessie was a retired equipment operator with the Scottsboro Water, Sewer, and Gas Board and Reed Construction.
Jessie is survived by his Daughters and Sons-in-law; Nona and Chris Stephens and Brandy and Ken Willeford. Grandchildren; Nathan Hutcheson, Cody Stephens, Desi Sims, Trenton Mason, Olivia Atkins, Emily Atkins and Madi Atkins, and seven Great Grandchildren. One sister Helena Atkins and his Darling Janet Ferguson. Jessie was preceded in death by his Wife Carolyn, parents Jessie and Velma Atkins, Son Wade Atkins, Grandchild Jacob Atkins, Great Grandchild Elliana Stephens, and his brother Tommy Atkins
The family will receive friends on Tuesday November 14, 2023, at Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro, Alabama from 5 PM until 8 PM. Funeral services for Jessie will be held on Wednesday November 15, 2023, from the chapel of Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro, Alabama with Bro Johnny Johnson officiating burial will follow in the Straight Church of God Cemetery at Powell Alabama.
