Jesse Lloyd Petty, a loving husband, dedicated pharmacist, and cherished member of the community, passed away on September 19, 2023, in Ramer, TN. Born on January 29, 1954, in Corinth, MS, Jesse touched the lives of many with his kind-hearted nature and commitment to his profession.
Jesse’s educational journey began at Alcorn Central High School in Corinth, where he graduated in 1972. He enrolled in the University of Mississippi and earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy. Throughout his professional life, Jesse worked as a pharmacist at Super D, Wal Mart, and Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. His dedication to providing excellent care and guidance to countless patients earned him respect and admiration within the community. Jesse’s commitment to his career was evident through his unwavering work ethic and compassionate approach towards every individual who sought his assistance.
Jesse was an ardent member of the National Rifle Association and Holly Baptist Church in Wenasoga, MS.
Jesse’s passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by those closest to him. He is survived by his beloved wife Ann Petty of Ramer, TN; brother David Petty and wife Gail of Ramer, TN; five grandchildren: Delta Irwin, Jessica Durkee, Justin Koon, Skylar Koon, and Cameron Koon; eight great-grandchildren: Joseph Koon, Brayden Irwin, Tyler Irwin, Jaxon Irwin, Reed Barton, Brooks Durkee, Toby Koon, and Allison Koon; niece Olivia Hutcheson and husband Joshua of Clarksville, TN; nephew Bryan Petty and wife Brandi of Ramer, TN; and many extended family and friends.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Myrlene Springer Petty, and a step-son, Gregory Dwayne Koon.
In remembrance of Jesse Lloyd Petty, a private memorial service will be held to honor his life and bid a final farewell.
Memorials may be made to Holly Baptist Church, Gravel Hill Baptist Church, or Chewalla Baptist Church.
