Funeral service for Jesse Jackson Terry, Jr., age 86, of Trinity will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Kenny Reeves and Tommy Kirby officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 3, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Terry, who died Friday, June 2, 2023, at his residence, was born May 18, 1937, in Alabama to Jesse Jackson Terry, Sr. and Willie May Terry. He was preceded in death by two sons, Kenny Ray “Doc” Terry and Donnie Jones; daughter, Patricia Gail Terry; parents; and five brothers, J. C. Terry, Erin Gene Terry, Tommy Terry, Gaylon Terry, and Melvin Terry.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Terry; two sons, Garland “Shorty” Terry (Theresa) and James “Buddy” Terry (Vanessa); two daughters, Tiffany Cross (Justin) and Sandra Jeanette Jones; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Zayne Borden, Adam Terry, Noah Elms, Cameron Elms, Jamie Terry, Ty Henderson, Jesse Terry, and Hayden Terry. Honorary pallbearers will be Zeb Henderson, Justin Cross, Mickey Terry, and Tyler Stephenson.
