Jesse Huey, 63, of Phil Campbell, Alabama, passed away on July 23, 2024.
Born on October 6, 1960, in Birmingham, Alabama, Jesse was the cherished son of Eugene and Georgia Huey. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1980 and pursued a career as a skilled carpenter, where his craftsmanship and dedication left a lasting impact on all who knew his work.
In 1982, Jesse met the love of his life, Susan, in Fairfield, Alabama. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Amanda Huey Goddard (Richard Goddard), John Huey, and Nicholas Huey. Jesse was a devoted father, grandfather, and loving husband, always putting his family first.
After retiring, Jesse enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren, drawing, and caring for his dogs. He relished the simple pleasures of life and cherished moments with his loved ones.
Jesse was predeceased by his son, John Huey; his father, Eugene Huey; his mother, Georgia Huey; his brother, Anthony Huey; and his father-in-law, Leroy Rainey. He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Huey; his daughter, Amanda Goddard (Richard Goddard); his son, Nicholas Huey; his grandchildren, Jonathan Goddard, Isabella Goddard, Sophia Goddard, and Amelia Pounders; as well as several brothers, sisters, and extended family members.
Services to honor Jesse’s life will be held at Pinkard Funeral Home on July 30, 2024, with a visitation from 12:00 PM – 2:00 P.M, and funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. He will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends.
