Mr. Jesse Claude Kirby, age 76, of Decatur, died Friday, March 7, 2014, at his residence. He was born May 18, 1937, in Lauderdale County, to Leon Joseph Kirby and Gertrude Holland Kirby. Mr. Kirby was preceded in death by his wife, Melba F. (Coleman) Kirby, one son, Michael Kirby, his parents, and one sister, Kathy Briton.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Juanita (Perry) Kirby; two sons, Johnny Kirby and Doug Kirby; one brother, Bubbu Kirby; five sisters, Naomi Browning, Ginger Bissey, Clidene Kirby, Mary Allen, and Barbara Heard.
