Jesse Anderson McClain was born February 13, 1930 in Blue Mountain, MS, the son of the late Lealon B. and Nina Lee Burchette McClain. He was united in marriage to Ruth Inez Gentry on February 15, 1947. Jesse was a member of the The Springs of Bethel Springs, TN. He was an excellent guitar player and taught many over the years how to play .
Mr. McClain departed this life on June 18, 2016 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 4 Months, 5 Days.
He is survived by his wife Ruth McClain of Selmer, TN; two sons, Jimmy Anderson McClain and wife Shirley Elizabeth of Ramer, TN, Rickey Gene McClain and wife Karen of Selmer, TN; five grandchildren: Andy McClain, Leland Anthony “Tony” McClain and wife Aura, Brandon McClain and wife Ashlee, Christopher McClain and Katie McClain; 13 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; his siblings: Niles McClain, Harold McClain, Doris Crum, Cheri McClain and Ralph McClain.
In addition to his parents, Mr. McClain was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Wayne McClain; a grandchild, Benjamin McClain; a sister, Millie Dodson; two brothers, Bill and Ray McClain.
