Mr. Jerry Wayne Willis, age 71, of Athens passed way Thursday July 14, 2016 at Athens Limestone Hospital. He was born on August 10, 1944 in Athens, Alabama to Buford and Nellie Dedmon Willis.
Preceded in death by his parents, and brother Buford Leonard Willis.
Mr. Willis is survived by his wife Brenda; sons, James Willis (Deana), Chris Willis, Shawn Richardson, Steven Willis (Christina), and Jeremy Richardson (Brooke); daughters, Jennifer Swanner (Michael), Samantha Richardson, and Amy Willis; seven grandchildren; brother, John Willis (Dean); sister, Nellie Ann Draper; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Willis will be Monday July 18, 2016 at 2:00 at Sardis Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Keenum officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 12:00-1:45, and burial will be in the Sardis Springs Cemetery.
