Jerry Wayne Moss, 74 of Athens, passed away on Friday, October 18th, 2024, at his residence. Mr. Moss was born on April 23rd, 1950, in Lester, Alabama, to James and Helen Moss.
Mr. Moss is survived by his sons Jimmy Moss (Lisa) and Christopher Moss (Rachael); brother George Moss (Terry); sister Jackie Porter (Jeff); grandchildren Scotty Moss, Heather Moss (Angel), Joey Moss (Breanna), Lance Moss (Amber), and Sophia Moss; and great-grandchildren Brinley Moss, Bryson Moss, and Paxton Moss.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Ernest Moss, Danny Ray Moss, Charles Moss, and Roger Moss.
Funeral services for Mr. Moss will be Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024, at 11:00am at New Oakland Baptist Church, with Dwight Rayburn and Frankie Murphy officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00-10:45am at the church. Burial will be at New Oakland Cemetery.
