Jerry Wayne Morrison, age 69, passed away on Saturday July 9, 2022 at Hospice Family Care of Huntsville. Mr. Morrison was born on October 1, 1952 in Pontiac, Michigan to John William and Reba Mae Morrison. He was married to Barbara Jean Davis-Morrison for 51 years, and was an honorably discharged U.S. Army Veteran. He loved many different sports including Alabama football, and has a ball field named in his honor in Lacey’s Spring, Alabama. He enjoyed visiting the Smokey Mountains, and spending time in the Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg areas. He loved his family, and spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Morrison is survived by his wife; Barbara Morrison, sons; Jason Morrison and Daimen Morrison (Emily) daughter; Brandee Smith (Bobby) sisters; Linda Jones (Pete) and Wanda Hwang (Mike), brother; Michael Morrison, grandchildren; Anothony Morrison (Bailey), Angela Grable (Patrick), Kayleen Smith, Matthew Morrison, Hannah Morrison, and Yvette Morrison and great-grandchildren; Penelope Grable, and Elliot Grable.
Preceding Mr. Morrison in death are his parents; John William Loyd Morrison and Reba Mae Fortenberry Morrison, son; Chris Morrison and brother; Danny R. Morrison.
Memorial service for Mr. Morrison will be Wednesday July 13, 2022 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
