Funeral Services for Mr. Jerry Wayne “Moe” Moore, age 77 of Lineville, will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with Rev. Harold McCain officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Poplar Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Moore passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at his daughter’s home. He served in the National Guard from 1963 until 1967. He is a member of Victory Baptist Church. Mr. Moore worked for 30 years at Ace Products in shop maintenance. He resided in Lineville most of his life. Mr. Moore enjoyed serving God, fishing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Alice Moore of Lineville, two daughters, Shelby Bowman (Bubba) of Lineville and Kim James of Coletta Valley, three sons, Timmy Moore (Lisa), Gary Moore, both of Lineville and Dino Moore (Loretta) of Coletta Valley, 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, his sister, Linda Sue Mitchell of Lineville, eight brothers, his twin brother, Terry Moore (Mary Louis) of Highland, Howard “Shorty” Moore of Hackneyville, Jewel “Hopper” Moore (Alice) of Coldwater, Steve “Uppie” Moore, Phillip Moore (Nancy), both of Chandler Springs, Michael Moore (Mindy) of Ashland, David Moore and Glenn Moore (Kim), both of Lineville, a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewel Moore and Helen S. Moore, and four brothers, Tony “Homer”, Danny “Muchie”, Gerald “Bud” and Randy Moore.

Pallbearers will be: Glen, Phillip, Michael, Matt, Michael Avery Moore, John Williams and Mack Bowman.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland and Friday until service time at 2:00 P.M.

Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of the arrangements.
