Jerry Wayne Humphres went home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2024 at the age of 74.
Jerry was the beloved husband to Fran and the cherished dad to Richard, John, and Michael.
Jerry prioritized his life with God, family and country. He deeply loved his family and Fran was
the center of his world; married for 51 years. Jerry was a proud United States Army Veteran
and served our country from 1968 – 1973. He was a member of St Paul Missionary Baptist
Church and loved his church family.
Jerry is survived by his wife Mary Frances Humphres. His sons: John (Amy) Humphres and
Michael(Sharlotte) Humphres and his Sister Laverne Barton. Eight beautiful grandchildren and
one beautiful great-grandson, Riggs Cagle and a host of loving friends and family.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Avery & Ochlys Humphes, his son Richard Humphres,
brother Randell (Julia) Humphres, and sisters Patty and Colleen Humphres.

His visitation will be Friday November 1, 2024 from 12:00NOON – 2:00PM at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. Funeral service at 2:00PM in the chapel, with Vance Hutton and John Humphres speaking. Burial to follow in Lynn Cemetery.
