Jerry Wayne Floyd, of Albertville, Alabama, passed away on August 24, 2022, at the age of 59. Mr. Floyd was born in DeKalb County, Alabama, on September 18, 1962, to Preston Floyd and Eliza Kilgore Floyd.

Jerry was a carpenter and had experience in the logging industry. He was a talented landscaper as well. Mr. Floyd enjoyed fishing and was an outdoorsman. His family was important to him and their love for him is obvious. Mr. Floyd is missed greatly by his family and friends.

Mr. Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, Preston and Eliza Floyd and his brothers, Kenneth Floyd, Terry Floyd, and Keith Floyd.

He is survived by his wife of almost forty years, Altha Chappell Floyd; daughters, Stacy McConnell (Ronnie), Savannah Elrod; grandchildren, Teagan McConnell (Kody), Patrick McCurdy; great grandchildren, Alex Rhodes, Scarlett Rhodes; and brothers and sisters, Lonnie Floyd (Krystal), Patricia Merrick, Peggie Floyd, Arnold Floyd (Rita), Thomas Floyd, Bo Floyd (Sheila), Joe Floyd, Darlene Griffith (Dwight), Doris Posey (Randy), Debbie Howard (Randall), Judy Thapa (Santosh), and Melinda Wilemon (Doyle).
