Jerry Wayne Beck July 27, 1971 – Jan 4, 2025 To know him was to absolutely Love him. If you knew him, you have heard a story told with all the dramatics and laughter he could embellish it with. He was a lover of all things nature. Cave dwelling, arrowhead hunting, creek strolling, gold digging, waterfall loving man. He had a total obsession with Honey Bee’s as well and we can not leave out his love for Alabama football and vacationing with his children! But most importantly he was a devout believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. He never failed in all his story telling to let everyone know his faith and his belief in God and the gospel of the good news which gives us much comfort in knowing that he is walking on those streets of Gold with the rest of many, many family members who have gone on before us. Jerry Wayne Beck, 53, better known as Bones, Muscles, Beck or even Little Jerry to our older cousins, passed away on Jan 4, 2025 at 8:38am in Huntsville Hospital MICU after a 76 day hard fought battle. He was formerly married to Margaret (Forrester) Beck with whom he had his two children Carrie and Justin. His children were his absolute world. He lived just above the all famous Blue Hole and he raised his children roaming those woods, swimming that creek, loving the waterfall and searching for arrowheads. He spent more time with his children than any parent known. He worked in construction with Daniel Masonry which he ended up getting his children hired as well. So when it is said he spent his time with his children, it means he spent ALL his time with his children. He loved his family fiercely! His parents, children, siblings, aunt’s, uncle’s and many, many cousins and friends were what he lived for. Four years ago, Jerry suffered from a severe accident where rebar pierced through him 10 to 12 inches. It was a long recovery but he survived and we considered him a walking miracle. A few years later he was unfortunately diagnosed with lung cancer that spread to his brain in which he underwent surgery, grueling radiation and chemotherapy treatments. But again, he survived and made sure to share his testimony. It was a long, hard four year battle for Jerry but his battle is now over and his Victory is eternal!. He will be missed terribly and loved indefinitely!!! Visitation will be held Wednesday January 8th at Adams Brown Funeral Home in Albertville. Family from 4-5pm, friends from 5-7pm.
