Jerry Wayne Beard, age 68, of Russellville, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Russellville Hospital ER.
Jerry worked for over twenty years and retired from Russellville Waste Water. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved to be outdoors. He served as a deacon at Mt. View Freewill Baptist Church. Jerry was married to the love of his life, Joyce, and had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He was a Godly man, a loving husband, father, and PawPaw. His family loved him very much and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joyce Brown Beard; sons, Daniel Beard (Amy), Adam Beard (Julie); grandchildren, Grace Beard (Josh Lindsey), Kylee Beard; brother, William Jody Beard (Anita); and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, William (Troy) Beard; mother, Martha Ann Malone Beard; and nephew, Richard Brown.
The visitation will be 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. John Barton and Bro. Scott Lindsey officiating the service. The burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Pat Seal, John Seal, Scott Godsey, Josh Tompkins, Paul Pounders, Brock Williams, Braden Williams, and Scottie Hovater. The honorary pallbearers will be Randy Mansell, Don Matthews, Rodney Smallwood, Doug Clement, and Houston Hovater. Also serving as honorary pallbearers will be the members of Duncan Creek Hunting Clube and Lake Elliott Bass Club.
