Jerry Streetman – Obituary

Jerry Streetman, 74, died Thursday, December 13, 2018, at the North MS Medical Center. He was born June 14, 1944 in Durant to Walter and Minnie Streetman. He was a 1962 graduate of Durant High School. He then went on to Holmes Junior College and then earned his BA at Ole Miss. He was a pharmacy representative for Burgan Drug Company for many years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Durant. He was an avid Civil War Buff and enjoyed playing pool, fishing and playing tennis.

Services will be 3 PM Sunday, December 16, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church, Durant with Rev. David Cain officiating. Burial will follow in Mizpah Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 – 4 Saturday at the funeral home and 2 – 3 Sunday at the church. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

He is survived by his sister, Gayle Lewis (Billy) of Durant; his brother-in-law, Sonny Potts of Oxford; his nieces and nephews, Gay Hammond (Eddie) of Winona, Leigh Johnson (David) of Fairhope, AL, Gil Potts (Sonja) of Madison, Kent Lewis (Ginger) of Tupelo and Jeri Jo McCleskey (Ray) of Goodman; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Doodle Potts.

Pallbearers will be Kent Lewis, Gil Potts, Ray McCleskey, Luke Lewis, David Johnson and Eddie Hammond.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Durant • PO Box 147 • Durant, MS 39063
