Jerry Samuel Hoffmeister, age 33 of Mulberry, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. He was born on November 4, 1987, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jerry was currently employed at Jack Daniel’s Distillery as an electrician. An avid outdoorsman, Jerry enjoyed doing anything outdoors, especially rock-crawling, and he also enjoyed working on anything that had a motor. He was always helping others and loved with his whole heart. Jerry will be remembered as a great family man and father to his children. He was preceded in death by his great-uncles, Samuel Bowling and Edward Bowling; and grandfather, Jerry Gelhausen. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of eleven years, Heather Hoffmeister; children, Taylor and Samantha; father, David A. Hoffmeister; mother, Sandy Hoffmeister; brother, Christopher (Tina) Hoffmeister; aunts, Dianna (Steve) Sheely, Tina Mosley, Lynn Calhoun, Theresa Pfefferkorn, and Hayley (Austin) Green; uncles, Philip (Shannon) Hoffmeister, Gregory (Sandy) Hoffmeister, and Trent (Gail) Hoffmeister; great-uncle, Robert Hoffmeister, father-in-law, Kevin Gosnell; mother-in-law, Angie Lomas; grandparents, Joyce Gelhausen, Faye (Joe) Carter, and David P. (Pam) Hoffmeister; and nephews, Christopher Hoffmeister Jr, Alexander Hoffmeister, and John Hoffmeister. Visitation will be from 4-6pm on Friday, October 22, 2021, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
