Mr. Jerry Ray “JR” Hensley, 69, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at his home in Enville, TN. Mr. Hensley was born April 3, 1955, in Henderson County, to the late Thelmer “Hen” and Willie Mae Middleton Hensley. Mr. Hensley was retired from the road crew for Henderson County Highway Department. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Tonya Hensley; two sons: Jeff Hensley (Tami) and Cliff Hensley; daughters: Jessica Strickland, Jerri Lee Mathis (Brian), and Michaela Hensley; sister, Diane Rainey (Freddy); grandchildren: Jeremy Hearn (Danielle), Warren Hodge, Ray Bishop, Trip Matthews, Maelee Hensley; sisters-in-law: Linda Hensley and Martha Hensley; and pets: Anna Bell, Tiger, and Elliott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Audrey Hearn; brothers: Hoyt Hensley, Wayne Hensley, Bobby Hensley, and Harold Hensley; sister, Shirley Hensley; and granddaughter, Addison Hensley.
Funeral services for Mr. Hensley will be Monday, October 7, at 2:00 PM, in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and on Monday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
