Jerry R. Sanderson, age 70, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Harris Chapel Baptist Church with Brother Frank Whitaker officiating. His body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Jerry was a member of the Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Hazel Sanderson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Alice Sanderson; sons, Paul Sanderson (Jackie) and Mark Sanderson (Stephanie); stepson, Bradley Harrison (Tina); daughter, Julie Bacon (Tim); brother, Larry Sanderson (Sue); sisters, Linda Fair (James), Shirley Marlar, Sandra Barnes (Jerry), Lisa Gregg (Chris); and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Ronald Mills, Jerry Barnes, James Fair, Kendrick Burns, Ralph Waldrep and Chris Gregg.
